Anssi Saarinen

 

TEACHER OF PIANO

Anssi Saarinen started his piano and music studies in his native homeland of Finland.  He then continued by studying for a BMus and MMus degrees in London in solo piano performance and musicology.

Mr Saarinen has studied with some of the world’s top specialists in piano, conducting and historical performance practice. He has a very wide range of repertoire and experience, from the performance and research of early music to premieres of new works.

For the last few years, Mr Saarinen has worked as a teacher of piano, music history and theory.  He is also an exceptional accompanist and choir and ensemble conductor.  

 Mr Saarinen’s approach to teaching emphasises the individual’s unique needs. The importance of understanding every learner’s personality and strengths being the main focus.

Several of Mr Saarinen’s former students have attended some of the most prestigious conservatoires in the world and are pursuing careers in music.

Mr Saarinen joined the BSM in 2019.
