Guitar Lessons

Taught by Steve Crawford and Niall Kavanagh, the Bermuda School of Music offers tutorials in classical guitar and electric guitar. Private and group instruction is offered to both beginner and advanced students of all ages. Students are taught to read music, learn technique and play different styles of music, ranging from Renaissance to Contemporary repertoire. Students have the option of playing solo repertoire, duos with their teacher or in ensembles with other BSM students. This helps to improve musicianship and take music making to the next level.

Students studying individually have the opportunity to join our guitar ensemble which meets each Saturday. Adult ensembles are available. Students also have the opportunity to study from some of the world’s finest guitar instructors at the Bermuda Guitar Festival, which is held annually at the end of May.

Student concerts take place every term for performing opportunities and the guitar ensemble has further performances including The Christmas Walkabout.
