Raymond George was born and raised in the greater Toronto Area and began his musical career playing for church choirs and groups from the age of 13.

 

He obtained a Bmus in Music from the University of Toronto and had the privilege of studying piano with William Aide, Larysa Kuzmenko and choral music with Brainerd Blyden-Taylor.

 

He received the Lloyd Bradshaw Prize and an Ontario Service Award for choral excellence and music direction in community programs.

Raymond’s diverse musical background includes  jazz, gospel, rock, choral music and piano performance.

 

He toured England and Canada as a pianist/keyboardist for 3 years before moving to Bermuda to teach at the Bermuda School of Music in 2010.
