yuki furqan

ACCOMPANIST AND TEACHER OF PIANO

YUKI FURQAN was born and raised in Japan.  After completing her bachelor’s degree at a university in Japan, she moved to Spain, where she completed postgraduate studies at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid, studying under Guillermo González, Manuel Carra, and Antonio Iglesias. She later refined her artistic voice and musical identity at the Academia Marshall in Barcelona with Alicia de Larrocha, whose mentorship had a profound and lasting influence on her artistry.

In addition to her formal education, she has participated in numerous international music festivals, primarily in Europe, gaining valuable artistic insight and collaborative experience.

Yuki has also maintained a long-term artistic relationship with Pianist Yoichi Tajiri, a distinguished Japanese pianist deeply connected to the lineage of orthodox pianism tracing back to Beethoven. His musicianship, grounded in this classical tradition, has played an important role in shaping her artistic perspective.

Throughout her career, she has performed extensively as a soloist, chamber musician, and collaborative pianist in Asia, Europe and South America. These international engagements have enriched her interpretive approach and broadened her understanding of diverse musical traditions and performance practices.

Yuki's repertoire spans a wide range of classical works, with particular strengths in Spanish repertoire, Impressionist music, and chamber music. She is especially drawn to works that demand coloristic nuance, expressive depth, and refined sensitivity, and she strives to bring clarity, sincerity, and artistic integrity to every performance.

Yuki is currently active as both a soloist and collaborative pianist, working with vocalists and instrumentalists in a variety of professional settings.
