Eleanor Kelly
TEACHER OF GUITAR
Eleanor Kelly is classical guitarist from Merseyside, England, who has been described as a 'a highly skilled and engaging performer who is not afraid to explore the drama and emotion of music' (Hastings Independent Press).
She has performed extensively at prestigious venues and festivals in the UK and Europe, including Palacio del Portalet (Spain), Kings Place, London (UK) as an International Guitar Foundation Young Artist, Uppsala Internationella Gitarrfestival (Sweden) as a EuroStrings Scholarship winner, and at Finding A Voice festival (Ireland) where she was Artist-in-Residence, and hailed 'impressive' by The Irish Times. She is passionate about all classical guitar forms but has a special interest in Latin music - especially the music of South America - and lesser-known works by marginalised composers.
Eleanor studied with the very best guitar teachers in the world, and graduated with Distinction from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2024, and completed the prestigious 'Máster en Interpretación de Guitarra Clásica' course in Spain in 2021 - the same year that she gained a Postgraduate Certificate in Guitar Teaching with the European String Teachers Association. She has been described as 'technically masterful' (Archiv Frau und Musik), and is keen to pass on the knowledge and insight she absorbed from guitar maestros to the next generation of guitar students in Bermuda. As well as delivering tailored one-to-one guitar lessons, Eleanor will draw on her experience as Music Director of the Liverpool Guitar Society Ensemble and will be directing the BSM Guitar Ensemble, providing guitarists the invaluable experience of performing together in a chamber-music format.
