Jerremiah Smith

 

TEACHER OF CLASSICAL, ACOUSTIC AND ELECTRIC GUITAR

DIRECTS THE GUITAR GROUP AND RUNS THEORY CLASSES

Jerremiah Smith studied guitar performance at California State university, Chico. He received his BA in 2004 under the direction of Warren  Haskell, and continued his studies under Warren Haskell and later Tobin Roye to receive his MA in 2006.

Jerremiah has also studied with many other great guitar instructors, including Charlie Robinson, Eric Peter, Tony Greaves, Howard Alden, and Mimi Fox, helping him to teach, perform, and compose in a wide variety of genres.

As an active performer in California before moving to Bermuda in 2011, Jerremiah often performed solo classical and jazz guitar, as well as working with many local band playing more contemporary styles.

He also joined the band in numerous musical theater productions, including the Rocky Horror Show, Grease, and Anything Goes. He has performed live on Northstate Public Radio along with vocalist Cassandra Madison, and was honored to win first prize in MakeaStar.com’s solo guitar competition with his original composition, “Joy”.
